SCHAGHTICOKE - Deborah J. McLaughlin, 66, of Knickerbocker Road, died Friday morning, May 5th, while visiting her sister in North Carolina. Born in Troy, September 12, 1950, daughter of the late Severin and Eileen Viall Minor she was the wife of the late John J. McLaughlin, III who died in 2014.
Deborah had worked for over 20 years at St. Mary’s Hospital in Troy as an Endoscopy Technician before retiring in 2011.
Deborah enjoyed camping with her sisters at Adirondack Gateway in Queensbury. Also like her husband, she was an avid NASCAR fan, although unlike him being Dale Earnhart, Jr. fan, Deborah proudly followed Kasey Kahne. She loved to Facebook with her sisters and spend time with her two dogs, DJ and Whiskey.
She is predeceased by her brother Edward Minor.
Survivors include her children: daughters Dawn McLaughlin of Wynantskill, Melissa McLaughlin of Hudson, Rhonda McLaughlin and son, John J. McLaughin IV, both of Schaghticoke, 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Sisters Sue Muller, Mary LeClaire, Esther Callahan, Ella Morse and Belinda Patenaude and brothers Terry, Ronnie, Tom and Eric Minor as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville, NY 12118 on Saturday from 11AM - 1PM with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Schaghticoke.
