MECHANICVILLE - Sharon G. Callanan, 69, of Penrose Ave., died Thursday evening, Oct. 6th at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn, Albany, after an extended illness.
Born in Troy, Dec. 15, 1946, daughter of the late Cloyd and Gladys Brunick, Sharon was also predeceased by two children Kenneth Keefer and Kimberly Rivers and sisters Claudine Sharp, Janet Messick and Catherine LeClair.
Sharon worked at the Yankee One Dollar warehouse for a number of years.
She was happy entertaining and playing cards on weekends with family and friends, but mostly loved time spent caring for her children, grandchildren and family.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Britt F. Callanan, three children: Scott (Shannon) Callanan of California, Veronica (Michael) Jones and Kelly (Walter) Propst all of Mechanicville, grandchildren: Crista, Evan, Anthony, Skylar and Savannah, along with great grandson Landon. Also her brother Gary (Sharon) Burnick of Mechanicville, in-laws, nieces, nephews and their families.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 AM at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville. Burial to follow at Saratoga National Cemetery. Calling Hours at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-7 PM.
