I just heard the news. So sad. Ed and I served together in the USAF at Eglin AFB, I believe. I met in at the beginning of my service for the country. While spending time researching old service buddies, I was only learning about his passing just now. Looking that pictures, he looks the same as when I served with him. I heart goes out to his family and friends.

I had the pleasure and the privlege to coach both Eddy and Bobby during my tenure as a coach under John Taglione for the Mechanicville Red Raiders. I was stunned when I opened up The Express which gets delivered to my home here in Texas and to read Ed's obituary. Whenever we needed something done, without an arguement, I could rely on Eddie or Bobbie. They both made coaching an absolute pleasure.

My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, children, parents and siblings at this very trying time.

Ed, I'm going to miss you buddy. You were my closest friend and because we've done so much together I will have memories of you in almost everything I do and every place I go. And although it was entirely too short of a time I am so glad I got to know you and the rest of your family. Ed, I really enjoyed getting to know you through Carissa. You were a great father and she loved you dearly. I always enjoyed chatting about life and I never did get to taste your famous steak however you'll always leave me with memories. You and Leenie were always so good to me and I never got close to a student's family the way I did with you and Leenie. After a few years of being at your house, you helped get me over my fear of dogs. I'll miss you but am happy I got to know you over the last few years. May you rest in peace and I promise to watch over Carissa in high school and help her to become the aspiring chef we knew she'd be.
